Stories are the things that make us human.

Whether uttered around the ancient fire, whispered from the mouth of a friend, captured in the words of a song, or stamped on the pages of a book, they hold the power to transform and shape us.

My name is Matthew, and I love stories. I always have. Throughout my life, you could find me spinning spooky yarns at the elementary lunch table or over-exaggerating the most thrilling moves on the high school basketball court.

I live in the mountains of North Carolina where I find inspiration in the beauty of nature, the chaos of our four dogs, the companionship of my wife, and the travails of raising a daughter. (She’s the best!)

I’ve always been moved by the written and spoken word, until finally, in the Spring of 2026, I started my own journey by writing my first page of my first novel. That page turned into a chapter, and that chapter turned into dozens more.

I am currently seeking representation for my first novel, and have completed three additional manuscripts with a fourth under way.

The journey has become a lifelong pursuit with publication as the goal.
